I love you forever
Every night Bailey tells me "I love you forever. I like for always. As long as I'm living my Mommy you'll be" I don't think there is any better way to end my day.

walking and dancing
Brayden has his 12 month check up today.
weight 20lbs 10%
height 62%
Head 97%
He is beginning to take his first steps. He is starting to get more brave and will get up and stand on his own. Hopefully he will be walking around in the next couple weeks. He officially switched off his nasty smelly formula and onto milk and seems to be doing great. The dr. was concerned b/c he sounded congested and said that I should take him off the milk and see if he gets better, but he seems to be doing fine on it so I don't know what to do? He is sleeping great at night and has even slept in until 8 three days in a row. That is a lot better then his normal 6:30am wake up time.
Bailey continues to make us laugh every day. The other day during scripture reading it was talking about worship and we asked her "who do we worship" and she responds with "Mary!" umm....haha Jake asked her if Caillou was Catholic? I don't know where she learns the things she says. I guess I need to check in on what they teach them in that nursery!
Bailey loves to eat salad and would eat in with every meal if I served it. Sometimes we have to tell her she can't have any more salad or carrots until she eats a bite of chicken or whatever else we are having with dinner. She is so little and needs more meat but I am seriously starting to believe she is a born vegetarian!
We miss living in Mesa but are getting used to life in Kingman. We have made some friends which makes a huge difference! Bailey misses living close to Grandma and Grandpa.

Lately
Lately this is what we have been up to:
-Trying to get Brayden to say Mama! I would be lying if I said that I didn't feel bad that Brayden is 12 months old and still won't say Mama. He actually thinks it is funny to say Dada whenever we ask him to say Mama. Bailey has always communicated with us very well and Brayden just doesn't seem to care. haha Just one of the many ways Brayden and Bailey are so different.
-Trying to get Brayden to walk. Brayden could be walking right now if he wanted but I guess he is still ok with crawling.

Bailey had her first dental visit. It was such a fun office and she did really well and had a perfect little checkup.

Brayden's 1st Birthday
This past weekend we were able to go down to Mesa and celebrate mine and Brayden's birthday. It was a quick trip and always goes by to fast. There is always people we didn't get to see and things we didn't have time to do, but it was fun! We left Thursday night after Jake was done with work. On Friday I was able to go out to lunch with my mom, sister-in-laws, and Grandma. Friday night we went to the train park and out to dinner at Famous Dave's. Saturday we went to Scottsdale to do some much needed shopping! We brought Bailey and Brayden which makes shopping hard! Brayden got lots of new clothes from H&M and Jake got me some "birthday" clothes. We get a little deprived living in Kingman and save our money for our weekend trips. Saturday night my parents took the kids to organ stop while me and Jake met up with my best friend Chelsea and her new fiance. They are getting married on March 3rd! I can't wait! We enjoyed a quite dinner at Charleston's. It was one of the highlights of the weekend! Sunday we had a party for Brayden! I can't believe he is one!! Time flies! We ordered a party sub and I made an ice cream cake! We kept it simple since we were heading home right after the party. The drive home was a long 3 hours! My kids don't sleep in the car and Brayden was exhausted and cried for a straight 45 minutes which made Bailey cry. Not fun!

Brayden got a basketball hoop and loved playing on the box.

Me and my nephew "Baby Eli" (Bailey always refers to Eli as Baby Eli and loves coming to see him) He is such a cute little boy!

Brayden and Eli

At famous Dave's. Love there food!

Bailey and Brayden have so much fun with my family. They love all the attention they get from Grandma, Grandpa, and there uncles. When we were driving home Bailey kept saying "I don't want to go to Kingman. I want the other house by Grandma." It makes us sad and we miss being so close.

Out to dinner with Chelsea and Spencer.

Christmas
Thanksgiving has come and gone and I am just getting around to updating this blog. Life never seems to slow down. Here is a little of what we have been up to
October-I became a working mom while Jake stayed at home looking for a job
End of October- Jake finds a job in Kingman, AZ
November-Jake moves to Kingman while I stay in Mesa a work a few more weeks and we look for a home in Kingman. One week into Jake being gone Bailey gets sick with strep and the croup passes it to Brayden and we have the longest two weeks of my life. I stopped working early then expected to take care of my sick kids.
We celebrate Thanksgiving with my family and packed our house.
December-We move to Kingman, AZ.
We are loving our new home and getting used to life in a very small town. Jake loves his job and we feel very blessed! Kingman is not the first place I would pick to live but we are making the best of it and grateful for all we have.
Brayden- Brayden is getting so big! He crawls all around the house, but mainly to wherever I am. He is pulling himself up on furniture and falls on his head a minimum of 4 times a day. He gets into everything I don't want him to. He is one of the cutest little boys I have ever seen. He says "Dada" all the time and loves when his dada gets home. He says "nana" for mama. He HATES baby food. He loves to bug his sister. He says "NONONONO" right back to Bailey when she yells no to him which makes her even more mad. He doesn't like his mom to do much of anything but pay attention to him. He still wakes up once a night just to make sure we don't get used to sleeping through the night, but every once in awhile he will go a whole week of sleeping through the night. He takes two naps. We love our little Brayden and our excited to see him and Bailey running around together soon!
Bailey- Bailey is a 2 year old going on 10. She is constantly correcting me on things I say. Example- Me: " Bailey will you put this jacket on?"
Bailey:"Mom that isn't a jacket it is a coat"
Me:" yes, you are right"
then she walks to her bedroom to get a coat and a jacket bring it back and says, "Mom this is a jacket and this is a coat"
She is constantly making me laugh at the little things she says.
As long as she gets her rest she is very happy. She wakes up singing every morning. She does not like to sleep away from her crib or crib tent. She lets me curl her hair and paint her fingernails. She loves to play with barbies, dolls, and her tea set. She loves to help make cookies! She brings so much joy into our home!
We feel so blessed to have these two beautiful children, for Jake to have a good job, and to have all the family and friends that we have! We are grateful to everyone who has helped us get through the last few years of Jake being in school and grateful to still be married and together :) We miss all the people we have met along the way and want to wish everyone a Merry Christmas!!

Brayden and that arm...
First on the list....Jake passed the BAR!!!! YAY! What a relief! We are so excited!
Next Brayden and his arm. Brayden loves to suck on his arm! He does it like any other baby would suck there thumb but it is his arm. The problem is-he sucks it so much that it gets raw and on a few occasions begins to bleed! Ouch! WE keep long sleeves on him as much as possible but as soon as the sleeves are off the arm is in his mouth. He uses it to comfort himself, get to sleep, when he is hungry, etc. He won't take a pacifier but will take my arm as a replacement if I let him. I don't so much like having my arms all red from his sucking so I try to keep my arm away from his mouth hahaha! He always holds his arm in with the opposite hand. Hopefully he grows out of this sooner rather then later!
