markers

Bailey really enjoys coloring with markers. One afternoon she was suppose to be napping, but after about 20 minutes she came out with a big smile saying, "look what I did" I was napping and not too happy when I opened my eyes. I had to give her a full bath to get all the marker off, but I did have to laugh a little. She loves to draw people, but gets pretty frustrated if it isn't just how she likes it. After drawing the above picture I said "Great Job Bailey" she got upset through her marker and said, "No it isn't perfect. Tell me the truth Mom" haha I guess it is a little taste of what we have to come with her.

Love these two!

We just love these two! It is so fun to see them playing and laughing together. They are starting to play together more often. Bailey is really good with Brayden...most of the time :) She helps him up when he falls, shares her snacks (after asking if he is allergic), worries about him if he is crying or hurt, and loves to make him laugh. Sharing all the toys is still a work in progress but she has come a long ways and tries really hard to be good to him!

MAMA!!! :)

It only took 14 months but Brayden finally decided to start saying Mama. I was starting to get a little offended because he had been saying Dada for several months and also started saying NO and trying to say Thank You. But as soon as he started saying Mama his vocabulary took off! He can now say Hello, Mama, Dada, No, Thank You, night night, he tries to say juice, wawa(water), baba. It is crazy how much older he seems in just the past few weeks. He walks everywhere and fights with Bailey over toys way too much. They have a love/hate relationship and it drives me crazy. I don't enjoy being a referee, but hopefully that will change over time and they will start playing together better soon. I have to remember that Bailey is two and Brayden is one!

Growing Up

Lately I have really seen changes in both Bailey and Brayden that make me realize how fast time is going! There are times it is fun to see these changes, but it does make me sad! What are you suppose to do when you don't have little kids anymore? Some recent changes in our house:
-Bailey is now in a big girl bed and doing so well! I am glad we waited to make this switch b/c she hasn't come out of her bed once since switching her. She is such a good little girl!
-Bailey can spell her name and recite her address!
-Brayden is beginning to walk around the house (but still crawls most of the time)
-Brayden is climbing onto everything...just like his sister

It is fun to watch the similarites along with the difference in Bailey and Brayden. Bailey and Brayden both have a lot of energy and love to climb, run, and get into everything and anything they can find. They both eat to live and don't so much enjoy the eating process. They both prefer soy milk over cows milk. They are both a little dramatic. Brayden has started to throw fits that crack me up. He throws himself on the ground and kicks and screams. He loves to say no and yells "no" to his sister if he thinks she is coming to take what he is playing with. Bailey is a mamma's girl and Brayden loves his daddy!

Sorry for the blurry pictures from my phone

Me and Bailey relaxing

cute Bailey when we went for a picnic in the mountains close to home

came out from helping Bailey to find this little guy standing on the table. You can't leave them for a second!

Out of order but this is a picture of one of my best friends. We have been friends since we were about 5 yrs. old and and I was able to see her sealed in the temple last week. I was so happy to be able to be a part of that!

They are getting so big.

I love you forever

Every night Bailey tells me "I love you forever. I like for always. As long as I'm living my Mommy you'll be" I don't think there is any better way to end my day.

walking and dancing

Brayden has his 12 month check up today.
weight 20lbs 10%
height 62%
Head 97%
He is beginning to take his first steps. He is starting to get more brave and will get up and stand on his own. Hopefully he will be walking around in the next couple weeks. He officially switched off his nasty smelly formula and onto milk and seems to be doing great. The dr. was concerned b/c he sounded congested and said that I should take him off the milk and see if he gets better, but he seems to be doing fine on it so I don't know what to do? He is sleeping great at night and has even slept in until 8 three days in a row. That is a lot better then his normal 6:30am wake up time.

Bailey continues to make us laugh every day. The other day during scripture reading it was talking about worship and we asked her "who do we worship" and she responds with "Mary!" umm....haha Jake asked her if Caillou was Catholic? I don't know where she learns the things she says. I guess I need to check in on what they teach them in that nursery!
Bailey loves to eat salad and would eat in with every meal if I served it. Sometimes we have to tell her she can't have any more salad or carrots until she eats a bite of chicken or whatever else we are having with dinner. She is so little and needs more meat but I am seriously starting to believe she is a born vegetarian!

We miss living in Mesa but are getting used to life in Kingman. We have made some friends which makes a huge difference! Bailey misses living close to Grandma and Grandpa.
