A New Year!

2010 has been such a great year with many ups and downs.
-Bailey learned to crawl, walk, run, climb, talk, and most importantly, sleep!
-We moved to a new apartment, a storage unit, Italy, and then to a basement, and are currently packing to move to Boise!
-We traveled to Italy, stayed for 2 months, and had more ups and downs while there then we could have ever imagined. Italy included long plain rides, one of which was me and Bailey on a plane for 15 plus hours sitting next to a bunch of business men on a red eye flight which Bailey chose not to sleep on. (I would never recommend traveling that far with a 12 month old) Italy also included E.R. visits, lots of sweating, lots of walking, me and Jake both loosing 10lbs, GELATO, yummy pasta, and seeing some of the most amazing sites in the world!
-We found out we were pregnant with a baby boy
-Jake got in a car accident that resulted in the loss of his car. We bought a minivan to replace his car which is now my car and he drives the jeep. HAHA! I am a true mom with a minivan now!
-Trips to Arizona :)
-Jake finished his last law school exams...other then the bar that he will be taking Summer 2011.
-I have enjoyed life more then ever in 2010! Being able to care for Bailey each day bring me so much joy! The end of law school is drawing near and we are hopeful for what the future has to bring!

2011 Goals
-Get back in shape and Run a Half Marathon
-Read the Book of Mormon
-Have Family Home Evening weekly

Liberty Lake Tree Lighting

We went to the tree lighting in Liberty Lake last weekend. They had a "hayride" that we went on. It was Very cold outside, but we had fun being out together.

These are two of Bailey's favorite people. (Landon and Elliot) She refers to them both as "LaLa" and asks to go see them daily.

December so far

December has been an eventful month and it is only the second week. After Thanksgiving Bailey got the stomach flu which passed very quickly and didn't seem to bother her too much. A day later I got the stomach flu and have never thrown up so much in one night! After talking to nurse Bev who lives upstairs I decided to go into the E.R. in hopes of getting an i.v. to get hydrated. Little did I know I would be spending the next day and a half there. Because I got so dehydrated I started contracting every 5 minutes and also began to dialate. The doctor in the E.R. was extremely worried. They were able to stop the contractions after about 6 hours, but I still spent the night there. Jake was also sick with the stomach flu which didn't make things any easier. We are grateful to all our friends and ward who helped us out as I got feeling better and Jake was busy with his last week of classes.
I had a doctor appointment today which went great. The doctor approved us to go home for Christmas and thinks everything will be fine with the remainder of my pregnancy and expects me to go full term.
To add to this busy time of year Jake was in a car accident on Saturday which left his car totaled. :( A girl was driving and failed to stop at a red light and he struck her (hardly damaging her dad's big truck), but leaving his car totaled. We are grateful he is ok and that the other driver has insurance along with us!
I feel ready to have this baby and not be pregnant anymore! I don't enjoy the last 2 months of being pregnant. Last night I realized a series of thing that go on each night which is really annoying. Before dinner I have to take Zantac because I have such horrible heart burn 24 hours a day. Before bed I like to stand outside in the 20 degree weather becasue I am so hot all the time. It takes 30 minutes to get to sleeep because I can't get comfortable, but then I wake up every 2 hours because I have to pee so much, and half way through the night I consider eating something because I am so hungry, and at 6 am I wake up to a HORRIBLE leg cramp that leaves my leg sore for days. And I won't lie that I hate getting bigger! I think pregnant girls are so cute, but not myself! We are very excited to be having a little boy and that Bailey will soon have someone to play with!

Mobius with DAD

Spokane has a fun children's museum that is located below the downtown mall. After a couple days of being stuck inside because of the snow Jake had a day off from school and drove us down on the horrible roads to spend the day at Mobius. Bailey had so much fun playing and being with her Dad!
I think it hit record low temperatures this day. I have never been so cold in my life! It was around 2 degrees while we were out. The night before it hit -11 degrees! It doesn't help that I can no longer button my jacket!

It is so fun to see how much Bailey loves her Dad. Whenever she wakes up from her nap she starts asking for "dada." Jake is so good to Bailey and me. (right now he is standing in the freezing cold waiting to get into Toys R Us to buy Bailey a special Christmas Gift. I would have gone but the roads are so bad right now that he offered to go.) We are very lucky to have him.

Fall Family Pictures and an update

A couple weeks ago we had some good friends take some pictures for us. The fall colors in Spokane were so beautiful. Bailey did a great job letting us take her picture! I am about 26 weeks pregnant in these pictures, but really wanted some new family pictures. Below are a few of our favorites.

In other news we have chosen to move to Boise, Idaho next semester. Jake will be doing an externship (he still pays tuition and earns credit - just no classes) for the Ada County Prosecutor's Office. This was a very hard decision for us to make. We really enjoy Spokane and wanted to be able to finish up our schooling here, but feel that it is a good opportunity for us to extern in Boise. The hope is that they will have a job opening that Jake will be able to secure after he passes the bar. Because I am due to have our second baby February 5th we have decided that Jake will go to Boise in January to begin his externship, and I will stay in Spokane until the baby is born. We wouldn't be able to get insurance in Boise in time for the baby's arrival so we feel that I need to stay behind. I am not looking forward to being a single mom for a month while 9 months pregnant. It will be a challenge!
Jake will officially graduate from Law School in May, study for the bar, and take the bar the end of July. We are anxious to see what the future brings! We have looked forward to graduation since the day we were married and are so happy it is so close!

Bailey is turing into a little girl and has become so much fun! I can not express how much joy she brings into our home. She is such a happy, energetic, and intelligent little girl. At her 16 month check up Bailey weighed in at 19lbs (6th percentile) an was in the the 83rd percentile for height. Bailey loves to talk and sing! We love Bailey so much and feel so blessed to have her as our daughter.

This pregnancy is going good. I am 28 weeks and feel like I am getting huge! I am measuring a little bigger then average. So maybe that means this baby will be big, or he will come early, or...I will just be left with a lot of extra work after he is born! He is a very active baby! We are very excited to have him here, but I will be honest and say that I don't know if we are ready for the sleep deprivation that comes with having a baby. Hopefully he sleeps through the night before Bailey did (around 8 months)!

Halloween 2010

I had so much fun dressing Bailey up as a bumble bee for Halloween. Jake was sick all weekend, and we were sad that he missed out on the Halloween fun. On Saturday me and Bailey went with some friends to there ward Halloween party and Bailey was able to "trunk or treat." Halloween night we were able to go to a Halloween dinner at some friends house and all the kids dressed up again. Bailey made a very cute bumble bee! Having a little girl to play dress up with is so much fun!

Jake's First Post: One thing I admire about Trisha

One thing I love and appreciate about Trisha: she discovers a skill that she desires to have and works at it diligently until she masters it. When I married her she had hardly cooked a meal in her life and she now has books and books of recipes and her cooking is my favorite. She knows how to make bows for Bailey's hair, memory boards to fill with pictures, how to decorate cakes, and the list goes on. Right now she is hovering over a used sewing machine that she bought for $12 at Goodwill...she's been at it for hours now, making burp cloths for our next baby. She didn't know how to sew earlier today and now she's whipping out burp cloths like it's nothing. I admire her for that.

Arizona

Me and Bailey were able to take a trip to AZ while Jake stayed home and got things done for school and work. We had so much fun. Bailey loved having all the attention and I loved not being the sole entertainer.

We ate out at all my favorite places including Cafe Rio, Native New Yorker, Sweet Cakes, Paradise Bakery, and Sprinkles!! And we took Bailey to the Organ Stop, which she loved!

Here is Bailey at Sweet Cakes enjoying the chocolate chip cookie. They have some of the best desserts!

I loved being able to spend time with my mom, grandma, and my two sisters-in-law.

My parents got Bailey her own little car and she had so much fun with this toy. She would get on, put up her feet, and wait for someone to push her around. Good thing there were plenty of people to take turns pushing her.

We went to the zoo one day, and it was still a little warm so we only stayed for about 2 hours. Bailey's favorite part was the petting zoo. I guess we should have just found a petting zoo to take her to...

Greenbluff in October

The other day the girls and kids took a little trip out to Greenbluff for the October festivities. We looked at the animals, drank hot apple cider, picked out little pumpkins, picked berries, watched the pumpkin launcher, and played with kids. It was a fun fall morning.

pumpkin launcher....Bailey response to this was "wow!!!! uh oh, uh oh, uh oh!!!"

Lately

I am now 22 weeks pregnant and things are going great! I love the second trimester because I am not sick anymore and not big yet. I can't believe in 4 months we will have another little baby in the house. We are so excited, but also nervous. I think I am most nervous to see how Bailey reacts to not having all my attention. Bailey has just started getting really interested in babies. I think she will love having a baby in the house until she notices I can't give her all my attention. I love spending my days with Bailey and she definitly gets A LOT of attention. She is such a good little girl and we are so grateful she is ours!

Jake is busy with school, work, studying, and looking for a job! This is his last semester of classes because next semester he will be able to extern for his remaining 15 credits. It will be so nice for him to have an 8-5 work schedule with no homework when we are having another baby. We have always thought we would be moving back to Arizona after law school, but have been very dissappointed with the job market in Arizona. Jake has had interviews in Boise and Montana so far. We are willing to move anywhere we have a job, but are still crossing our fingers we find something in Arizona. I have really come to enjoy Spokane and graduating will be a very bittersweet day. We have counted down to graduation since the day we were married, but I did not expect to enjoy graduate school so much. We have made some really good friends and it will be so sad so see everyone go different directions. I love the group of girls I am able to hang out with and that is hard to come by!

Some of the things Bailey loves:
Reading Books
her blanket! (she gets so excited to go "night night" because she gets her blanket)
going outside
going to music class
playing with other kids
Bath time
Fruit

Some things that Bailey hates:
the vacuum
the ironing board
the shower head

Bailey sitting in the love sac reading "Are you my mother"

Music Class: We are able to go to a music class on Wednesday's that a lady does for free from her home. It is so much fun for the kids!
